Troposphere-Jibo
A Troposphere for jibos OS to run inside!
What is troposphere really?
Lets start by talking about what troposphere is not Troposphere is not the next jibo os front end or a skill / server, the main scope of troposphere is:
- Create a modern environment with modern libraries and support
- Improve loading speeds (Of the core os .. front end is still handled by the jibo electron app)
- Add modern support for hardware such as USB & pcie
- Include a debian environment so tools like
aptandfastfetchcan be used as well assystemd - Modern programming lang support (by default python & nodejs)
Now for the future i wanna pursue ideas such as :
- Create a standard library which can communicate with jiboOS & its server
- Allow JiboOS to launch native applications
- Complete bootloader re-write
- And more...
who is this for?
Im gonna tell you that troposphere isnt meant to be a mandatory tool you must use to get back jibo functionality but saying that, troposphere as mentioned above will broadly expand its functionality for the people who like tinkering with things!
Components
Troposphere will consist of multiple components , each of which will replace different components of the User space OS & perhaps allow for the change of system space components..
